There are a few truths in the Universe that hold true - especially for Garaguations....
1. If something CAN go wrong, it will, so just roll with it, and always have a Plan B.
2. The weather here in the Fargo Moorhead area in May is perilously unpredictable.
3. People learn best from mistakes, and hell, SOMEBODY has to make those mistakes, it might as well be us!
We really wanted to launch this blog with some great tips, recipes, and reminders during this, the official Garaguation season. We honestly had the "best laid plans." Well, you know what happens with that!
From awards ceremonies and other social obligations that collide with your party date, to torrential rains, to rivers that threaten to swallow up your house. From stress that erupts, physically, mentally and verbally, but usually in all the wrong places, to broken pipes and flooded basements - we have seen it all - and most of it in the past three weeks!
Partially for therapeutic reasons, but mostly to lay the groundwork for the book we hope to write, we will post the aforementioned stories, tips, and recipes in a methodically haphazard way!
Ideas, suggestions, and conversations to help you through the stages of planning, decorating, cooking, inviting and successfully pulling off a Garage-u-ation of your own.
